Kyrielle was formed in January of 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden by the guitarist Kaz. Yuki (gt), Julius(dr) and Vincent(ba) were soon to join the band after just a few months.

In August of the same year lead singer Freddy, who had barely even sung birthday songs before in his life, tried out for the band and they all decided to give him a chance, as Kaz saw true potential in his voice. He agreed to come to their next few band practices to sing the cover songs they were playing at that time, and see if that would lead anywhere.

Luckily it did work and in no time at all they ditched their covers and started playing their own songs instead. The first demo was recorded in February 08, featuring some of their first material; Infected Lies, Faithful, and Unwritten.

In October 08 the band ventured into the studio for another recording. This time darker, heavier and more experimental material, yet still filled with variety, had been written and the the 6 tracks that form the mini-album SLEEPWALKER were completed. There's no question about the members' talent and visionary ideas, that all together create the unexpected twists in the music that somehow make up a story for each song.

Their sound can be described as a broad spectrum of alternative rock, experimental and metalcore. As the band grows on a global level interviews, fan art, international gigs and many different offers keep flying their way constantly. Now it's only a matter of time...

I Girugamesh sono un gruppo relativamente nuovo. La loro musica è abbastanza dark e heavy, ma ha un tempo rock ed è sicuramente (MOLTO) orecchiabile -

Amano gli argomenti tristi come guerra’, prigione’, bugie’ e tradimento’, e parole simile che appaiono molto spesso nelle loro canzoni.

Tutti i testi sono scritti dal vocalist Satoshi, mentre la musica è composta dal batterista Ryo.

I Girugamesh sono nati nel 2003 nei sobborghi di Tokyo. Tuttavia, il loro vero inizio è da considerare nel 2004 perché è in quell’anno che il gruppo formò la line up attuale: Satoshi (voce, ex-Venom), Nii (chitarra), Shuu (basso; prima dei Girugamesh era un roadie dei Kagerou) e Ryo (batteria).

La band inaugurò la sua nascita suonanod al Motoyawata Route14 il 24 Marzo 2004. Allo stesso tempo, pubblicarono il loro primo demo, [kosaki uta] ~kaijou kata enban~.

Il gruppo si esibi in molti live. Ad Agosto nei loro concerti distribuirono gratuitamente due album, jelato e →mikongyaku. Nello stesso mese pubblicarono finalmente il loro primo maxi singolo, [kaisen sengen] ~kikaku kata enban~. Il singolo raggiunse la decima posizione nella Oricon indies chartche è un buon risultato per dei nuovi arrivati!

La fine del 2004 vide l’uscita del loro secondo maxi, [kuukyo no utsuwa] ~kyosaku kata enban~. A Febbraio il gruppo si imbarcò in un tour invernale chiamato 2005 fuyu no yukidoke tourou. Il concerto di chiusura fu un twoman’ insieme agli HenzeL, il 28 Febbraio al Meguro rock may can.

Marzo fu il mese in cui uscì per la prima volta su DVD una registrazione del loro live. I Girugamesh facevano parte di KINDLING VOL.1, insieme ad artisti come Phantasmagoria e Vidoll.

Il 15 Aprile, i Girugamesh suonarono in un altro twoman insieme ai Marusa. Il concerto, intitolato Kaisen (scoppio di una guerra’), si svolse alla Takadanobaba AREA e fu commemorato dall’uscita di un CD coupling, Senyuu kyoutou uta, 5 giorni dopo.

La band non si riposò, e già nei mesi seguenti pubblicarono il loro primo mini-album: goku shohan kata enban-. Dal 29 Maggio il gruppo andò di nuovo in tour. Fu un tour storico finì il 17 Luglio con il loro primo one-man. Lo show al Meguro rock may can andò esaurito.

La seconda metà dell’anno fu abbastanza impegnativa per i ragazzi. A Settembre i Girugamesh pubblicarono un nuovo singolo, ed a Ottobre partirono per un coupling insieme ai Luvie. Il tour consisteva di 14 date e finì con un two man.

A Febbraio fu la volta del loro primo tour one man, e ad Aprile uscì un nuovo singolo. Durante un tour promozionale che accompagnava quell’uscita i fan potevano anche acquistare un altro singolo speciale.
La popolarità del gruppo crebbe velocemente, ed a Settembre uscì il loro primo album dal titolo 13’s reborn. Ebbero anche l’opportunità di pubblicare il loro primo PV per un brano di quell’album, Owari to mirai.

Satoshi ha una voce incredibile..la più bella in assoluto >_< nessuno lo batte muhahaha
